Say no to Albino animals

You might think that Albino animals are cute and loving but they suffer something terrible. Many Albino animals such as alligators, deer, peacocks, tigers and lions suffer from abnormal, debilitating, and, at times, lethal, external and internal conditions and characteristics
**The same gene that causes the white coat on white tigers for instance causes the optic nerve to be wired to the wrong side of the brain, thus all white tigers are cross eyed, even if their eyes look normal. They also often suffer from club feet, cleft palates, spinal deformities and defective organs. That is why it is wrong to breed albino animals and only it is okay they are in the wild.

Big Island, Hawaii

Hey, this post is all about Big Island. Big Island is the biggest Hawaiian island and has four volcanoes. These are the volcanoes Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, Kilauea, and Pu’u O’o. I went to Kilauea. Even though there was fog I could still see the poles of gas rising up from the crater. Also there were holes in the surface which spewed steam. It was amazing to see this volcano getting ready to burst. I  also went snorkeling. The deep water is a rainbow of colors. The fish are colored flamboyantly and the coral is brightly painted by Mother Earth. The green sea turtles and the Zebra Striped Eels were the animals that I thought were the coolest. Also you can see barracuda, starfish, sea urchins, Butterfly fish, and bran coral. You ca also see Hawaii’s state fish, the Humuhumunukunukuapuaa or commonly known as the Reef Trigger-fish. Also I went para-sailing. This is how it goes:  you go on a speed boat and then you sit down on a platform. You are attached to a parachute and that takes you up. Sea gulls wiz by you and the air in your face is calm. This is no roller coaster ride. You can relax and let all your worries swim away from you. This trip was truly amazing. Also the hotel I highly recommend is Hilton Waikoloa Village. You can also see Ferrell cats roaming around this hotel.  You might also want to see the petroglyphs. They are pictures that were made by tribes to communicate.

Obama wins election

It was great election though I thought Romney was doing well not so good. His comment on no PBS was probably a key thing that damaged his votes. Obama was right about lowering taxes for the middle class and higher taxes for the rich because they can pay more. While Obama got less votes probably from the rich, for they did not want to pay more than the middle class. Now there was also vice president. During the debates Paul Ryan was very nervous and always trying to drink water. Now on the other hand Biden though was over confident which would cut some votes off. Both the sides though showed who they represented very well. Some facts: Barack Obama was born in Hawaii. Mitt Romney’s father owned a giant car company. Paul Ryan loved hunting. Well there had to be a president so Obama was chosen. Romney was grieved that he had not won but he still felt good for Obama. No matter if your Republican or Democratic everyone has feelings.

Galapagos photos and information

The Galapagos is one of the few places where animals are not afraid of humans. In Galapagos there are many endemic creatures and plants. The Galapagos is made up of 18 islands. I was fortunate enough to visit  9 of these islands North Seymour, Rabida, Floreana, Santa Cruz, Isabela, Fernandina, Espanola, and San Cristobal Island.

Here are some pictures to show these amazing islands:

R.M.S Titanic

On April 15, 1912 the great cruise ship called Titanic sank in the North Atlantic Ocean.  About 2,200 people were on this beautiful ship but only 683 people survived the horrible disaster. The Titanic was made by White Star Line in Belfast, Ireland. It took two years(1909-1911) to build. The Titanic was 882 feet long. Titanic had four smoke stacks and was the first ship to have a heated swimming pool. Titanic had one other name “The Unsinkable” (ironically it didn’t live up to its expectations).

The Titanic was heading from Belfast, Ireland to New York City, USA when it struck an iceberg. Many ships rushed to help the Titanic, the most famous of them was the Carpethia(Car-Pai-Thee-Au). It went the fastest it could, flashing through the fields of ice. You might think that the Titanc’s passengers were panicking crazily but actually they were very calm. Britain and United States of America remember how brave the passengers were. In honor of the passengers who lost their lives  people drop wreaths into the water where the Titanic sank. To this day we remember the terrifying accident. This year is the Titanic’s 100th year anniversary. Prayers will be held in remembrance of the passengers of the Titanic who lost their lives.

After the sinking of the Titanic it was discovered that the ship builders had cut corners and had made the steel sides of the Titanic thinner than the specified thickness. The ship builders had not put enough life boats on the Titanic as it was “The Unsinkable”.  We’ve learnt that overconfidence can lead to horrible disasters.

James Web Space Telescope

James Web Space Telescope (JWST) is  a very powerful infrared space telescope. Infrared is a type of light wave. JWST is supposed to launch in 2018. This amazing space telescope will look at the galaxies that were created in the Big Bang! The James Web Space Telescope will also look for other solar systems that might be forming around faraway stars. James Web is made with a Sun-Shield which will protect JWST from the hot Sun’s radiation and heat. This Sun Shield is about as big as a tennis court. JWST’s mirror is 6.5 meters(21.3 feet) in diameter. The Sun-Shield and mirror will fold up in the rocket because they do not fit in the rocket open! The James Web Space Telescope will go 1,000000 miles away from Earth. This telescope will be one great way to find answers to some of our greatest questions!
